Improving a process is not something that you do once and then forget about it - it should be a continuous activity which builds on experience and constantly anticipates change and refinement.

Making major improvements to processes or adopting a new, externally-matured process is seldom simply a matter of changing individual ways of working. Success will depend on how closely the structure of the existing organisation reflects the roles and lines of reporting required by the new process, the extent to which an organisation has the ability to adopt change, both culturally and operationally, and the practicalities of ensuring that business continues as normal during times of change.
